The J&B Met 2009 was once again loads of fun. I was lucky enough to be invited to the J&B tent (if you can call it that it’s more of a complex) by Nashua Cape Town. We had to get their early as Jac & Bev Moolman (the owners of Nashua Cape Town) had a horse running in the first race. I’m happy to say for once I backed the right horse when Wood Bluff came in second and I managed to win R350 off a R500 bet, great start to the day. However that’s where my winning streak ended. Absolutely everything I backed from there on in lost.
From the parade ring we set off for the J&B tent which was really well organised. The catering was amazing and I felt like I was on a cruise liner. Loads of tasty food being served from multiple venues in the complex, all from various countries. Everything from salads to Chinese, bagels, steak and chips, milkshakes, waffles and Ice cream. Also hot dogs, burgers of every type, pizza and more. The service was great and the bar personal very friendly and helpful. The J&B tent is 100% the best tent to be in on Met Day. Thick with celebs the media were in a frenzy. Congrats to J&B and Eddy Cassar for once again putting together an awesome function.
