The Grammy-winning rapper Coolio, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr., was arrested on suspicion of felony narcotics possession and taken into custody on Friday at Los Angeles International Airport, Reuters reported. He was released after posting $10,000 bail. The celebrity Web site TMZ.com reported that the drug was crack cocaine, but a Los Angeles police department spokeswoman, while confirming the arrest to Reuters, did not give details. Coolio’s 1995 single “Gangsta’s Paradise” thrust him into the spotlight and won him a Grammy award for best rap solo performance the next year. More recently Coolio, 45, has been a habituĂ© of television reality shows like “Celebrity Fear Factor” and “Coolio’s Rules” and as the host of the online program “Cookin With Coolio.”

Coolio arrested for Crack Cocaine Possession
What ever happened to Coolio? What a stupid thing to do. The last time I saw him was over a spliff in his room at the Protea Victoria Junction Hotel in Cape Town, we played Sony PlayStation. He seems to have graduated to bigger things if you know what I mean... I do have to say however that he was a really cool dude who would not harm a fly.
